I'm Relocating to Pensacola and Need to Find a Job!
Finding Employment upon your Move to Pensacola
If you are moving to the Pensacola area and you're not yet retired, there's a good chance you'll need to find a job. The Pensacola economy is very strong, due to the large military presence and is even coined the "Cradle of Aviation." The most notable base in the area is Naval Air Station Pensacola, which serves as a military base for the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard. Besides defense, other strong sectors of the Pensacola economy include manufacturing, healthcare, education and tourism. I've listed many of Pensacola's largest employers below for your convenience.Getting a Job as a non-Florida Resident
Many of my out-of-town buyers commonly ask what’s the best way to get a job in Pensacola while still living outside of the state. Do Pensacola employers give preference to locals? Should I move to the area first? Should I obtain employment before moving to Pensacola? These are all great questions I commonly receive. My best answer is to let potential employers know that you're in the process of moving to the area and that you'll be in Pensacola to interview in person on certain days, and fully available for a phone and/or video interview while still living out of Florida. Always let employers know your targeted relocation date as they most often have a start date tied to their position. If you’re a top candidate and have the skillset they are seeking, the employer will work with you to make it happen!Escambia County - Largest Employers
